A subtle touch of eroticism with a nostalgic feel of Dark
romanticism and retro-chic — those are the Components
shaping Den’s creative practice.
Inspired by iconic black-and-white photography & cinematography of the 20th century, Den’s artistic approach is focused on the refined beauty of a human body looking for self-expression in movement. The shift from a photo portrait to movement and dance serves as a visual metaphor, symbolising the transition of a performer from their everyday persona to an epic stage image, the grotesque image of a performer.
A lot of talented performing artists are lacking support from their governments and the industry, to which they have dedicated their whole lives. Den constantly collaborates with established artists as well as with the new wave of emerging performers, giving exposure to ballet dancers, actors, musicians, etc.
